Visual identity
The Q150 logo is based on an abstracted map of Queensland. The map layers are arranged to convey the diversity of life in Queensland and this makes up the overall shape of the graphic.
The typography – Q150 – has been specifically chosen to reflect both the past and the future. The colours represent the Great Barrier Reef (blue), tropical rainforest (green) and desert sands (red and yellow). These, in turn, overlap to create darker colours, including the red, yellow and black of the Indigenous flag.
The overall effect is one of celebration and movement.
